For nearly three decades I have worked with leaders in the police, the crown prosecution service, the military and the corporate world, and the story is always the same. Truly great leadership - the kind that makes us happier, healthier and more productive – combines stereotypically female qualities with a traditionally male mindset.

The best of both is where the magic happens.
My work as a speaker, podcaster and psychologist is focused on sharing these insights through powerful stories: stories that make you think, stories that make you laugh but most importantly stories that help you to remember the lesson long after I've left.
Since we first sat around camp fires we have told stories about how to thrive and survive in the world. We love stories because they inspire us, educate us and help us to better understand ourselves and others…and psychology does the same.

As a speaker, I know that stories lift people’s heads and make the message meaningful and memorable.

In my LeadHERship Journeys podcast, I explore the stories of inspirational women to find out what enabled them to survive and thrive.

And then there are the novels. Psychological crime thrillers that have sold into 14 countries. I have practiced all that I preach in order to achieve my ambition of being an author. It is my personal success story.

Psychology has so much to teach us about how to best navigate the world and make the most of our lives. Stories make those insights meaningful and memorable.
